"AntiSpeed" (AntiSpeed)

After a fairly successful shakedown race a few weeks ago, basically all that’s left for now is to build a seat so I’m not getting pummeled by the chassis tubes.

Just curious, could you add thin inner panels to keep a bead seat from forming between tubes, then do a bead seat deep enough it almost makes a containment seat? Never seen an FF in person so not sure how tight the cockpit is.
Sounds like the conversion went well, how are you liking the Honda?

I’m wedged between the rails at my hips and my shoulders almost wouldn’t fit if they didn’t flatten the chassis tubes in that area, so there isn’t really any room other than the spaces in the frame. Making a bead seat into a containment seat is how they do it in the bigger cars. It looks like this, but in this picture the parts that wrap around the driver’s shoulders are cut out. It would be better if we could do one like this but there’s just no room.
The Honda is great! Driving-wise it’s pretty much the same but apparently it lasts forever and aside from being vulnerable to overheating, it’s pretty bulletproof. It’s also amazing that we pulled this one from a junk yard. Fires right up every time!
